DIY - Do It Yourself
We've been in this business for 5 years now and while not an eternity, it's enough to say that we have the experience of solving thousands of odor problems and you know what? We're pretty darned good at it! Over the years, we've stuck to our core principles and we keep getting better as we experiment with new techniques and tools. Our clients are thrilled and we are proud.
We get calls from people around the world with some very interesting odor problems and we always try to help with advice and coaching but it's not an efficient use of anybody's time. It's time to pass on some of our knowledge to help people who aren't in Alberta or are just interested in learning a little more about destinkification. That is why we are publishing our own series of whitepapers distilled from our internal systems manuals... for free!
Got an elbow? Got some grease?
Doing it yourself can save you some money but only if you do it right the first time! Using the wrong products, skipping steps or improper technique can add time and expense to something that should save you money. For example, DO NOT CALL a carpet cleaning company to clean up your pet urine... they can make the problem worse if they don't do it properly (and 99.9% don't do it properly). Want proof? Ask the carpet cleaning company to guarantee that the smell of pet urine won't come back after they leave. They won't because the vast majority either don't know how to do it right or are too lazy. They often charge extra for special products but ultimately rely on the perfumes in the cleaners to mask the foul odors for not much longer than it takes for your cheque to clear. Been there? Most of us have. We have a guide for that one!
If it's good enough for anthrax it will annihilate odor!
Part of our DIY initiative is making sure that you have access to the same, proven commercial products that we use. Some of the tools/products we use can be found at a harware store, supermarket or under your kitchen sink but others are only available to commercial customers. Our goal is to bring those products to you and we're excited that one of our first products is a direct replacement for the triatomic oxygen we use in almost every project we do. We've been selling limited quantities and getting feedback on this product for the last 7 months and I can tell that the potential benefit to you is awesome. I won't tell you what it is right now but I will hint that it's the same product that was used to clean up the buildings and offices that were infected with anthrax in the United States in 2001 and was used heavily during the clean up efforts after hurricane Katrina in 2005. We can ship it right to your door!
